At least P100,000 worth of suspected marijuana were recovered from four alleged drug personalities in a buy-bust operation in Valenzuela City Friday.
Police Major Jowilouie Bilaro, Valenzuela Station Drug Enforcement Unit chief, identified the suspects as Jaime Luzon, 30; Sameer Jonathan Khatib, 29; Jihad Khatib, 26; and Jade Dahil-dahil, 18.
Police Col. David Poklay, Valenzuela police chief, said that Jihad Khatib was put under surveillance for over a week before they conducted the drug sting against him.
The SDEU conducted a buy bust at the house of the Khatib brothers at around 2 a.m.
After the transaction, the police immediately arrested Jihad Khatib and his three other cohorts, who were also at his house during the operation.
Seized from them were a brick of suspected marijuana leaves and 12 plastic bags containing suspected marijuana leaves. The recovered pieces of evidences have an estimated total weight of two kilos.
The arrested alleged drug personalities are now under the police custody for proper disposition. (Joseph Pedrajas)
