Game Today (Ynares Sports Arena, Pasig City)
4 p.m. – Cignal-Ateneo vs CEU
(Cignal-Ateneo leads series 2-1)
Cignal-Ateneo looks to close out Centro Escolar University and capture the PBA D-League crown in Game 4 of their best-of-five finals series at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
The favored Blue Eagles for the clincher at 4 p.m. and gain some significant momentum before their sights on seeking a third straight championship in the UAAP.
Coach Tab Baldwin’s squad moved on the cusp of a title, rebounding from a shock Game 2 loss to produce a 67-54 win last Thursday.
Thirdy Ravena, Ange Kouame and Isaac Go, who emerged as the surprise winner of the tournament’s Most Valuable Player award, are expected to bring their A-games against a CEU squad determined to keep its Cinderella run alive.
“We have to play each game and be present for each game. We can’t look past every game and we have to make sure we do our job for the next game,” said Cignal-Ateneo assistant coach Sandy Arespacochaga.
Arespacochaga was mentioning of how the Blue Eagles played as if they were too overconfident in Game 2 which allowed the Scorpions to surprise everyone with a 77-74 win.
