Police arrested Wednesday a man who allegedly used a sachet of shabu as a bet in a dice game in Pasig City.
Major Darwin Guerrero, chief of Eastern Police District Special Operations Unit, identified the suspect as Bryan Imperial, 24, of Barangay Kalawaan, Pasig City.
The suspect was arrested at around 8:45 p.m. while playing dice with another man on Paulino Street in Barangay Kalawaan, police said.
Police said the other suspect managed to run away and escape.
Prior his arrest, Guerrero said his men were conducting operation against a wanted suspect in the area when they received a call regarding two men gambling on the street.
The lawmen proceeded to the area where they caught Imperial and his companion in the act of playing dice game with shabu as their bets, Guerrero said.
Police seized from Imperial a sachet of suspected shabu and P220 cash also used by the suspects as bet money.
The suspect is now detained at the Pasig City Police Station. (Jhon Casinas)
