A bus driver and his conductor were arrested after they were allegedly caught in the act of sniffing suspected shabu inside their bus in Valenzuela City on Tuesday morning.
Police identified the driver as Bryan Arrozal, 38, and the conductor as Rolly Layuso, 36.
Prior to the suspects’ arrest, the Valenzuela City Police Station (VCPS) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) received a telephone call from a concerned citizen informing them about an ongoing shabu session inside a parked bus with plate number TYS 403 at a gasoline station on MacArthur Highway in Barangay Malinta around 8:30 a.m.
SDEU operatives immediately proceeded to the area where they saw the suspects in the act of sniffing suspected shabu.
The duo were arrested after police recovered inside their bus three sachets of suspected shabu and other drug paraphernalia, police said.
Arrozal and Layuso were brought to Valenzuela Medical Center for medical examination before they were taken to VCPS for proper disposition.
Police said the duo will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. (Joseph Pedrajas)
