University of Batangas guns for a sixth straight win when it battles Olivarez College today in the PG Flex Linoleum-Universities and Colleges Basketball League at the Olivarez College gym in Parañaque City.
The UB Brahmans are expected to use their 102-83 drubbing of the Lyceum of the Philippines-Batangas last Monday as an added motivation when they face the Sea Lions at 4 p.m.
JJ Caspe and Melvin Ricañ are expected to lead UB once again after combining for 41 points, 22 rebounds, 15 assists, eight steals and four blocks the last time.
Out to supplyadditional firepower for the Brahmans are Harold De Guzman and Mart De Ramos while Raoul Yemeli will take charge of the shaded lane.
Olivarez, meanwhile, will bank heavily on John Lester Maurillo, Lance De Leon, Ace Lavariaz and Louie Vargas after merging for 51 of the team’s 85 points in their victory against Philippine Christian University-Dasmariñas for a 2-2 card.
In other matches, Diliman College stakes its 4-0 record against Centro Escolar University at 2 p.m. while winless teams Technological Institute of the Philippines (0-4) and National College of Business and Arts (0-4) raise the curtain at 12 noon.
The Diliman Blue Dragons are coming off an inspiring 89-51 triumph over the NCBA Wildcats for a fourth straight victory behind the efforts of Johnnel Bauzon and Abdoulaye Niang.
