Police Col. Chito Bersaluna, Bulacan police director, identified the suspect as Nesty Nacino, alias “Wek,” who allegedly had been released from the Bulacan provincial jail where he was incarcerated for drug charges.
Local police, assisted by the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Bulacan PPO, responded to a call made by barangay captain Danilo Tayao who reported that an armed group was roaming around the relocation site at around 10 p.m.
The policemen went to the house of the suspect who opened fire with a shotgun, hitting Corporal Ronnie Tamaliuan, a member of Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Branch.
Tamaliuan did not reach the Peralta Hospital alive.
