BUTUAN CITY – A policeman was gunned down on Capitol-Bonbon Road here last Sunday.
Police identified the victim as Police Master Sergeant Julieto Mariano Ano, assigned to the Philippine National Police Regional Office 13 Headquarters Support Unit in Camp Rafael C. Rodriguez, this city.
Initial investigation showed that the victim was driving a motorcycle on his way home from work at around 4:25 p.m. when two men onboard a black Yamaha motorcycle followed him.
The suspects drew guns and fired at Ano then fled.
The victim sustained a bullet wound in the neck and died on the spot.
