Police are investigating the death of a sexagenarian couple whose bodies were found with multiple stab wounds inside their house in Quezon City on Wednesday night.
Police identified the victims as Leonardo Ollano, 69, and Erlinda Ollano, 63, residents of Barangay Commonwealth.
Princess, daughter of the victims, told reporters that they only discovered what happened to their parents around 9 p.m. when they arrived home. They saw their bodies covered with blood.
“Mag-alas 9 na, nagtataka na ako bakit di naka-padlock ‘yung gate. Kasi kung aalis sila, pina-padlock nila ‘yun lahat,” she said.
“Umakyat asawa ko sa taas, pagbukas ng ilaw, nakasabog na mga gamit namin. Pagbaba n’ya, nakita n’ya sila mama at papa,” she added in between sobs.
Case investigators said Leonardo sustained 14 stab wounds while Erlinda sustained 17. They also had bruises on their hands, an indication that they fought back with their killers, police said.
Probers were eyeing robbery as the motive behind the killing as their children claimed that their parents’ R100,000 cash was missing.
A pair of slippers they did not own was also found in the crime scene. (Joseph Pedrajas)
