The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency yesterday arrested two suspects and seized P52,000 worth of “liquid shabu” placed in syringes in a buy-bust operation in Mandaluyong City.
In a report submitted to Director General Aaron Aquino, PDEA Special Enforcement Service Director Levi S. Ortiz identified the suspects as Mark Kenneth San Juan, 23, and Jeffrey Saclao, 28.
They were arrested in front of a fastfood chain on Guevarra St. in Barangay Highway Hills.
The suspects yielded 26 syringes containing liquid shabu with a total volume of 10.4 milliliters, one piece heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing around two grams of shabu worth P13,600, one small bottle of sterile water, a digital weighing scale, and marked money.
The suspects will be charged for violating Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), and Section 26 (Conspiracy to Sell Dangerous Drugs), Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
