Two persons were injured and about 200 families lost their homes in a fire that hit a residential area in Parañaque City last Friday.
Injured were identified as Drew Bautista, 32, and Ernesto Ars, residents of Fourth Estate, Barangay San Antonio.
Both sustained lacerations and abrasions while helping put out the fire.
Arson probers said the fire broke out at about 5:37 p.m. on ground floor of a two-story residential owned by Junie Guarino on Extra Extension, Masthead St., Area 1, Fourth Estate.
The fire immediately spread to nearby houses as they were made of light materials.
The fire lasted three hours and damage to properties was placed at P800,000.
The BFP added that residents in the area said that the cause of the fire was a lighted candle that was left unattended. (Jean Fernando)
