BUTUAN CITY – A 4.1-magnitude earthquake hit Sarangani, Davao Occidental early Thursday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the tectonic earthquake, which occurred at 3:32 a.m., was traced 407 kilometers southeast of Sarangani.
The tremor had a shallow depth of only 1 km, it said. No aftershocks and damages were reported.
The Southern Mindanao Office of Civil Defense and the Disaster
Risk Reduction and Management Council there also reported no damages. (Mike U. Crismundo)
