IMUS CITY, Cavite – The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) positive cases in Cavite province now rose to 310 with six new cases recorded lately.
The COVID-19 positive cases in Cavite were observed to have increased by 19 in four days, starting on Thursday, May 21.
There were also seven recoveries and no death reported in the four-day span from Thursday, it was noted.
Sixth district (General Trias) Board Member Kerby Javier Salazar, chairperson of the Committee on Health, Nutrition and Population, reported that as of 3 p.m. Monday, Cavite province has 310 confirmed positive cases, with 27 deaths and 107 recoveries, and recorded 155 probable; 5,893 suspect; and 2,571 negative cases.
The May 25 bulletin showed that the city or district of Bacoor has the highest number of positive cases among the province’s cities and municipalities and that Magallanes, a town in eighth district, remained COVID-19-free until this day.
Cavite was placed as one of the provinces under the less restrictive General Community Quarantine (GCQ) from May 16 to 31.
