From the looks of it, Chooks-to-Go is going everywhere.
After joining hands with several sports personalities, including Ravena brothers – Kiefer and Thirdy – Bounty Agro Ventures Inc, the company behind Chooks-to-Go and Uling Roasters – has extended help to public utility drivers and a church in Makati.
They have also donated food packs to the frontliners of Manila last month.
“Pag wala kang resources, mahirap patakbuhin ang isang negosyo, isang organisasyon, o lalo na isang simbahan,” said Fr. Benjamin Jugueta, Jr. of of St. John Mary of Vianney Parish in Cembo, Makati.
“Talagang hirap na hirap na po kami,” expressed jeepney driver Alberto Gloria, who resides in Project 3, Quezon City.
Over the weekend, the management of BAVI distributed relief goods to St. John Mary of Vianney Parish and Project 3, Quezon City.
“One of the most important things taught to us by the church is to give and not to count the cost. Despite the times we live in, the haves must always give back to the have-nots. That is what the true meaning of charity is,” said BAVI President Ronald Mascariñas.
Mascarinas is looking to get green light from the government so their their 3×3 teams can restart training.
“As a father, I know how heart-wrenching it is to not be able to bring food to the table,” he added.
Over 60 packs of Chooks-to-Go oven-roasted chicken were given to the drivers and their families, some of whom have been eating rice and salt to get by since March.
On the other hand, sent over packs of ready-to-eat and frozen chicken that was distributed by the parish to the people of Cembo.
“Malaking bagay na kapag may tumutulong in spite of the pandemic para ma-assist ang mga nangangailangan,” said Fr. Jugueta. “Kaya katulad ng pagdating ng Uling Roasters dito. Malaking bagay ‘yun para sa mga tao na nangangailangan, puwede natin silang maabutan ng kaunting tulong.
