LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The Benguet Provincial Police Office reported the confiscation of close to 380 grams of shabu worth more than P17 million and the arrest of 57 drug pushers since the implementation of community quarantine last March.
Data showed that there were 34 buy-bust operations, four services of warrants, five police response operations, three warrants of arrests, and nine marijuana eradication operations were conducted since the start of community quarantine from March 16 to Aug. 16.
Police provincial director Col. Elmer Ragay said among the drug pushers arrested, 47 were listed as high-value individual (HVI) targets, seven street level individuals (SLI), and three newly identified drug personalities. Ragay said the arrest were a result of the 55 anti-illegal drugs operations that also yielded illegal drugs valued at P17, 394,041. (Zaldy Comanda)
