18 JUST A NUMBER: Turning 18 doesn’t mean much to young actress Bea Binene.
Beyond the obligatory debut party and its attendant funfare, Bea says she isn’t about to change her lifestyle drastically just because she’s turning 18.
“I won’t even ask complete independence from my mother. All these years, she has allowed me to voice out my independence,” she told media during a simulated birthday party recently.

DEBUT PARTY: The GMA Artist Center star is turning 18 on Nov. 4 by way of a grand debut party at The Manila Hotel tonight.
The young actress says she’s thrilled to open a new chapter in her life. Among the teen idols of this generation, Bea has been one of the most promising, someone who has exhibited passion in the performing arts.
She has been joining workshops, trying challenging roles, and honing her hosting skills.
“Marami pa akong gustong patunayan sa sarili ko” is probably the standout quote from Bea on her transition to womanhood.
Bea recently unveiled a self-produced reality-lifestyle TV show entitled ‘Legally B’ which airs on GMA News TV every Saturday at 11:30 a.m. ‘I plan to go into other businesses soon,’ she said.
