Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center (GABMMC), one of Manila’s six district hospitals, launched its TeleHealth Clinic for residents of the city who cannot leave their houses amid the threat of the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19).
The clinic was officially opened on Monday for patients with non-emergency medical concerns, such as follow-up check ups and consultations about laboratory test results, and medicine prescriptions.
Through the service, patients may consult with the hospital’s medical professionals in general medicine, endocrinology, pulmonology, cardiology, nephrology, gastroenterology, neurology, dermatology, obstetrics and gynecology, otorhinolaryngology, general surgery, urology, orthopedics, thoracic and cardiovascular surgery, general pediatrics, neonatology, pulmonology, cardiology, nephrology, opthalmology, and dentistry.
Those who wish to schedule an appointment must fill out the online registration form in GABMMC’s Facebook page. Then, they should wait for the hospital’s nurse manager to call to verify their identification details and book their appointment.
Patients must be online an hour before their schedule and must answer the online feedback survey afterwards. The nurse manager will send them their prescriptions and laboratory exam requests.
Those who did not book appointments will not be entertained, the hospital said. (Minka Tiangco)
