Chemistry…that’s what Alden Richards and Jasmine Curtis-Smith got.
This was proved in the recently concluded GMA drama anthology “Love on the Balcony,” Part one of “I Can See You.”
Alden, played a videographer, and Jasmine a nurse. They are neighbors in a condominium, only a balcony separating them. They started as foes, ending up as sweethearts.
Love blooms in the time of pandemic.
They have screen rapport, their scenes together a pleasure to watch.
Come to think of it, they have much earlier shown their chemistry in the movie “Imagine You and Me,” shot in Verona, Italy, with Maine Mendoza as Alden’s leading lady. But the focus of the movie was on Alden and Maine, unlike “Love on the Balcony, they were together most of the time.
Shyr Valdez played Alden’s estranged mother and Pancho Magno his best friend.
“Love on the Balcony” ended last Friday, but an encore is in order.
Three other stories will be featured in “I Can See You,” so titled because the camera acts as witness to the episodes, answering the question, “Have you felt that somebody is watching you?”
Tonight’s episode is “The promise,” starring Yasmien Kurdi, Andrea Torres, Paolo Contis, Benjamin Alves.
it is followed on Oct. 12 by “High Rise Lovers, “starring Lovi Poe and Tom Rodriguez.
Oct. 19 – “Truly, Madly, Deadly” Dennis Trillo, Jennylyn Mercado, Rhian Ramos.
