When Montevista police led by Lt. Tomas Claro Jr. arrived in the area, the body of the victim had already been lifted by her 16-year-old brother who tried to revive her.

On the same day at around 10 a.m., a 15-year-old boy was also found lifeless hanging in his room while embracing his self-learning modular paraphernalia in Barangay Buhangin in Malita town, Davao Occidental.
