BACOLOD CITY – A one-year-old baby girl was found dead Sunday near a creek at Barangay Guinpana-an, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental.

Reynald Horegue, head of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), said the baby might have sneaked out of their house while her elder sibling went out for a while to get something from their neighbors.

Horegue said they did not know if the baby fell into the creek or was swept away by the water current.

When her sibling searched for her, her body was found 50 meters away from their house.
