The Pasay City government launched a TikTok virtual dance challenge in line with the celebration of the Christmas season.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said that the TikTok virtual dance challenge is part of the city government’s endeavor to help city residents be happy this Yuletide season and cope with the anxiety they are facing because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Rubiano said the city government will also distribute Christmas gift bags to all the city residents.
She said the solo participants or by group with a maximum member of four for the TikTok virtual dance must use the “Pasay Travel City” song.
The mayor said that those who wanted to record their videos outside their home must also follow the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) health guidelines.
Rubiano said the submission of the videos of the TikTok virtual dance challenge started last Nov. 26 and will last on Dec. 14.
She said that winners will receive P20,000 for the first place; P10,000 for the second place; P5,000 for the third place.
A people’s choice award which can be determined through the highest number of likes and hearts throughout the contest duration will receive P5,000. (Jean Fernando)
