JUST A THOUGHT: I will honor Christmas in my heart and try to keep it all the year. – Charles Dickens
SOCIAL MEDIA UPDATES: Browsing through Facebook, I get alternately amused, entertained, and updated on what’s going on in the world, my world.
Sharing today my new learnings. Here goes.
FREE HOUSE AND LOT: GMA-7’s “Unang Hirit” is giving away a free house and lot to lucky viewers in celebration of its 21st anniversary.
The online promo is open to victims of Covid-19 and recent natural calamities. The winner will be announced Jan. 8, next year.
REAL HAPPINESS: Tina Turner says real happiness is indestructible and does not depend on material circumstances, which constantly change.
In a Vanity Fair story, the durable singer says real happiness starts with the conviction that being alive is itself a joy.
“And we already have within us everything we need to tap into this potential.’’
TEXT MUNA: “Don’t call before you text’’ is one of the first rules of communicating in the digital age.
The newspaper, USA Today, tells us so in a recent article.
Those interviewed said they found it offensive that people would call them directly without any warning whatsoever.
Same applies here, and for all of us.
DISORDERS: Ken Chan is getting identified with roles of young men with specific disorders.
In his new GMA teleserye, “Ang Dalawang Ikaw,” his character suffers from dissociative identity disorder or DID. Such disorder allows him to create alternate personalities.
For this other personality, a gun dealer/smuggler, Ken had to undergo firearm training.
“Ang Dalawang Ikaw” also stars Anna Vicente and Rita Daniela.
IT’S BACK: The Champ, one-third pound, 100 percent burger, is back in select Jollibee stores.
