Seven employees of the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) have tested positive of COVID-19.
“As of Jan. 15, 2021, seven employees of the Office of the Solicitor General tested positive for COVID-19 through RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) testing,” the OSG said in a statement.
“To prevent further transmission, the OSG resolved to physically close its office from Jan. 18-20, 2021,” it added.
During this period, the OSG will undergo disinfection procedures to rid traces of the virus.
“Only personnel from the sanitation and disinfection team will be allowed in the premises,” the OSG said.
“All other employees will continue to perform their work and functions under alternative work arrangements,” it added.
The OSG advised the public that during the period “no documents will be personally received by the office.”
“Instead, parties may email [email protected] for documents they intend the OSG to receive during the lockdown. All other documents may be emailed to[email protected],” the OSG said. (Jeffrey Damicog)
