How about reviving the cinema division of the Kapuso network, GMA Films?
Why not? After all, GMA Films produced cinematic gems years back.
They include the three films directed by “future National Artist” Marilou Diaz Abaya.
“Jose Rizal,” with Cesar Montano portraying the National Hero. “Jose Rizal” is forever.
“Muro Ami,” with again Cesar playing the lead role. “Muro Ami” tackles illegal fishing, exploiting children as divers.
“Sa Pusod ng Dagat,” topbilled by Elizabeth Oropesa and Jomari Yllana. Elizabeth plays the fishing village “comadrona.” Jomari inherits is mother’s profession.
Then there is “Deathrow,” directed by “future National Artist” Joel Lamangan. “Deathrow” focuses on minors being thrown with hardened criminals in prison. Starring Eddie Garcia and Cogie Domingo.
“Let the Love Begin,” directed by Mac Alejandre. Topbilled by Richard Gutierrez and Angel Locsin as come to sweethearts. With the special participation of Miss Gloria Romero. “Let the Love Begin” is GMA Films’ biggest blockbuster.
