I wonder if kids today still play spider wars like we did when we were that age.
We would catch spiders in trees and bushes. We would store them in matchboxes, then release them on the ground to engage the spiders caught by our playmates in a battle.
What joy that brought to kids in our time.
According to Science kids, most spiders are harmless to humans but a few spider species, such as the black widow, can bite humans and inject venom. Deaths from spider bites are rare, however.
An abnormal fear of spiders is called ‘arachnophobia’.
How did the tale of Spiderman come about?
