It’s back to color-coding scheme for Caloocan residents.
The local government of Caloocan City will implement a color-coded quarantine pass scheme for residents going to markets and supermarkets starting Wednesday.
Mayor Oca Malapitan made the announcement during a flag ceremony on Monday in response to the surge in the number of the city’s new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases, which already reached 370.
According to the local government, residents with orange quarantine pass will only be allowed to go to the markets and supermarkets from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. of Monday, Wednesday and Friday and from 5 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. of Sunday.
Meanwhile, residents with green quarantine pass will be allowed to enter markets and supermarkets from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. of Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and from 1:31 p.m. to 8 p.m. of Sunday.
Those with white quarantine passes will be allowed depending on the nature and schedule of their work, the local government added.
A curfew hours of 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. will also be enforced. Only workers going to work or home are exempted.
Malapitan also issued Executive Order No. 009-2021, “encouraging the use” of StaySafe.PH system as the “official contact tracing system in public and private establishments” in the city.
Under the order, all owners or operators of public and private establishments, such as workplaces, churches, hotels and markets, in the city are encouraged “to immediately adopt and implement the StaySafe.PH system for logging, recording and monitoring the persons entering their premises.”
The owners or operators are also expected to provide and install devices that will scan StaySafe.PH-generated QR (quick response) code of residents, who must also have the application downloaded on their mobile phones.
