“First Yaya” is set to air its finale episode on July 2, Friday.
In an online press conference on Thursday, its stars gabby Concepcion and Sanya Lopez promised viewers more happiness and “kilig.”
“Masaya siya, ka-abang abang ang mga eksena. Tinodo na namin for our loyal viewers,” Sanya shared.
Gabby added, “We started on a happy note and we will end it the same way. We will make sure viewers will have the best time of their life watching the rest of the show.”
Their sentiment was echoed by show director LA Madridejos.
“Di ba we made you smile in the beginning? Ganun din namin siya tatapusin,” he said.
“Mangingiti kayo, ma-i-in love…maraming napakasayang eksena na tiyak ikaliligaya ninyo,” he added.
Gabby and Sanya thanked fans for supporting the show all throughout its run.
Gabby then revealed what he will miss the most in the series.
“Mami-miss ko ‘yung samahan at tawanan. Hindi naman parating masaya sa set pero ito kakaiba dahil ngayon lang ako nakaranas na kahit sa set o sa labas, talagang masaya kami. Hindi ko malilimutan ‘yung samahan ng buong cast, staff, at production team.”
Sanya, in turn, described how her first titular role changed her life.
“Mas lumalim po ‘yung pagkakakilala ko lalo na sa mga kasambahay sa buhay natin. Mas na-realize ko na lahat tayo, lalo na ang mga kasambahay, lahat tayo may dinadalang problema. Dito mas nakilala ko ‘yung sarili ko at natutunan ko na sa buhay natin hindi lang sarili natin ‘yung mahalaga, pati na rin ‘yung buhay ng ibang tao.”
“First Yaya” revolves around Melody, a nanny who develops a relationship with Glenn Acosta, the president.
It first aired in March and has since been a huge hit among fans.
In fact, a sexy pool scene involving Sanya and the rest of the ladies in the cast trended on social media.
Is there going to be a Book Two?
Gabby answered, “Wala pa pang pinaguusapan but I’m more than willing to do it basta kasama si Sanya.”
