Fans missing Claudine Barretto should be happy to know that she’s back.
She is to star in “Deception,” a film directed by Joel Lamangan.
Claudine described “Deception” as “far different” from past output.
She said, “Matagal ko nang gustong gumawa ng pelikula and I’m thankful this landed on my lap. Very interesting ang ‘Deception.’ Kakaiba siya. May lalim. I think a lot of people will relate to it.”
“Deception” tells the story of Rose (Claudine Barretto,) a famous actress who fell for the hunky stuntman Jericho as played by former flame Mark Anthony Fernandez.
The two will marry and will be blessed by a son, Thomas.
It was near perfect, until Rose is accused of killing her husband.
She will languish in prison for years.
The question though is, did she really kill Jericho?
Will she be able to reconnect with Thomas?
“I’m really happy to work with Mark again. He has matured a lot. Ang saya niya katrabaho. Naging madali ang lahat para sa akin because andun pa rin yung chemistry namin,” Claudine said.
Mark related, “Matagal ko nang gustong makapareha ulit si Claudine. Bilib ako sa kanya sobra. Napakagaling niyang aktres and I am honored to be paired with her.”
Joel is proud of his stars.
“Walang kupas. Parehong magaling umarte. Hindi kinalawang at all. And their chemistry is still very much intact,” he said.
