Film director Gabby Ramos is all about helping others. The belief is anchored in his desire to make the world a better place.
He told us in a recent interview, “’Yung pangtutulungan, pagdadamayan dapat hindi natin isantabi ‘yan. Lalo na ngayong mga panahon, napakahirap ng buhay. Dapat lahat tayo nagtutulungan. Dapat sabay-sabay tayong bumangon.”
This is reflected on his effort to cast newbies in his films.
Gabby is hard at work on his new film, “Home I Found In You.” He and his crew are now preparing for their location shoot.
“Excited ako kasi napakaganda nitong pelikula,” Gabby related. “Very inspiring siya at akma sa panahon.”
Of course, his stars are mostly new faces: John Heindrick Sitjar, Jhassy Busran, Harvey Almoneda, Eunice Lagusad.
The young talents are to be supported by industry veterans Diego, Orlando Sol and Soliman Cruz.
“Home I Found In You” centers on a young man, Red Alvarez (John) a multi-talented celebrity struggling with the weight of his fame.
All he wants is to take a rest and feel free – something that will lead him to Sun and Moon Resort where he will meet Selene Dela Cruz (Jhassy).
Selene is a simple girl who hates celebrities because her mother left her to be one.
Red and Selene don’t have much in common but they will suddenly find themselves feeling something they didn’t expect for each other.
Can their young love survive? Would they be like the Sun and Moon who can’t be whole without the other or will they end up losing each other?
Gabby maintained, “Hind ito heavy drama. Very light lang siya. It is meant to put a smile on everybody’s face. Kilig ang mararamdaman ninyo dito.”
As to its main message, he said, “The film will teach you that it takes courage to love. It is a choice you have to make. Be it for your own good or for the people you love, you are the one who will make the choice.”
Produced by Rems Films as sponsored by Chic Corporation, Community Doctors, Ardeur de France and SMDC, principal photography for “Home I Found In You” commences July 17.
