A young woman dragged into prostitution at an early age.
A wife caught victim of domestic violence.
Two women. Two lives. Both linked by a secret.
This is the premise of the eight-part Vivamax series, “’Wag Mong Agawin Ang Akin,” as directed by McArthur C. Alejandre.
“It is an intriguing tale that is relevant to the times. There’s drama, there’s sex. I think it is made more compelling by the superb performances of its stars,” said Alejandre.
Viva star Angeli Khang plays the role of Jasmine, a young escort eager to escape life in the sex trade.
She wants to work in the country’s top beauty company Prima Beauty.
She idolizes its big boss, Christine as played by Jamilla Obispo.
Once a battered wife, Christine rose through her misery to become the successful woman that she is.
Felix Roco is Tom, Prima’s marketing officer and Christine’s secret boyfriend.
Along the way Tom will meet Jasmine and they will share tons of passionate moments.
“I think kaaabang-abang ito for fans eager to see more of what I can do as actress,” said Angeli. “Marami akong ginawa na first time ko lang ginawa sa pelikula.”
“Same here,” intoned Felix. “Actually kahit ako nagulat sa nagawa ko rito. I give credit to our director for making us comfortable executing delicate scenes.”
“Magand ang character ko dito,” said Jamilla. “Very empowered siya, ‘yung ang pinakagusto ko sa kanya.”
“’Wag Mong Agawin ang Akin” starts streaming on Vivamax July 31.
