There’s a new Pinoy pop group to watch out for.
Called BOIZ will be Boiz, it is composed of lead singer Ethan David, 19, brothers BJ and Gas Sy, 17 and 12, respectively, Jonric Reyna, 20, and Rey Cariaso, 22.
All are hip, good-looking, talented.
And they have none other than industry veteran Teacher Georcelle of G-Force as guide and mentor.
Together, they’re aiming to make a huge splash in the scene starting with their debut single “I Wanna Know.”
The R&B inflected pop number, written by Jin Chan and produced by NEXXFRIDAY, is actually catchy as heck.
We caught up with the group recently.
Asked to describe themselves, Rey answered, “Makulit and fun.”
“Kasi whenever we are preparing for something we would always have moments where we would just be doing random stuff and laugh about it and then the entire process doesn’t seem like work,” he explained.
Ethan added, “Whenever we have training, we really don’t treat it as work. What we do is our passion.”
“We’re makulit and very talkative,” BJ chimed in.
As to what makes them stand out as a group, Jonric said, “Our music has its own distinct flavor.”
“And we have Teacher Georcelle backing us up,” said Rey. “We came from a very dance oriented background and our knowledge from performing is taught by the best, by G-Force.”
“We are offering something fresh, new, exciting,” added Ethan with a smile.
“We have our own style,” interjected Gas.
As a group, BOIZ will be Boiz promises to give their all in their performances, eager to ignite potential fans.
