EJ Obiena continued his hot form, finishing third in the 2022 Athletissima in Lausanne, Switzerland Friday.
Fresh from winning the Stabhochsprung Meeting in Jockgrim, Germany on Tuesday, Obiena soared over 5.80 meters to win the bronze.
He actually finished tied for second with American Christopher Nilsen but settled for third due to count back.
Prodigious Armand Duplantis of Sweden expectedly won the gold in with a new meet record of 6.10 meters.
Duplantis, Nilsen and Obiena also finished 1-2-3 in the recent 2022 World Athletics Championships.
In winning the gold in Germany, Obiena cleared 5.81 meters, beating Nilsen, who managed only 5.71m.
Obiena returns to Germany for the True Athletics Classics in Leverkusen on Aug. 28 (Aug. 29 Philippine time).
He will also see action in the St. Wendel City Jump also in Germany on Aug. 31, the Memorial van Damme event in Brussels, Belgium on Sept. 2, the ISTAF 2022 in Berlin Germany on Sept. 4, and the Golden Fly in Schaan, Liechtenstein on Sept. 11.
