Eager to make their mark in the topsy-turvy world that is show business are Sparkle’s emerging young stars.
They are: Roxie Smith, Kirsten Gonzales, Tanya Ramos, Caitlyn Stave, Kim Perez, Vince Maristela, Sean Lucas, Raheel Bhyria.
Note they were handpicked by Johnny Manahan, no less.
Also known as Mr. M, the starmaker is confident the newbies, collectively known as Sparkadas, will make it big in no time.
He said, “They have all those qualities which we think will capture the imagination of the public. They have ‘yung tinatawag na ‘It.’”
This will be tested soon via the soon-to-premiere TV series, “Luv Is: Caught in His Arms,” a collaboration between GMA and Wattpad Webtoon Studios.
We caught up with the group recently and we asked them about their individual strengths and this is what they told us.
Roxie, 22, a former beauty queen, believes she has what it takes to be a good TV host.
Kirsten, 18, is into fashion.
Tanya, 15, daughter of actor Wendell Ramos, is a dancer, singer.
Caitlyn, 17, is adventurous, energetic and is open to try almost anything.
Kim, 23, also sings.
Vince, 21, says he is a people person. He wants to be known as a good actor.
Sean, 18, says he is a natural comedian.
Raheel, 20, a model and an athlete, is eager to learn. He loves challenges.
