After parting ways with coach Yeng Guiao just recently, NLEX is also likely to lose sophomore gunner Calvin Oftana via a six-player, three-team trade.
The Gilas player is heading to TNT while Troy Rosario – a permanent fixture with the Tropang Giga for almost a decade now – will be shipped to the Blackwater Bossing, who in turn will trade Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser and unrestricted free agent Paul Desiderio.
According to multiple reports, Rosser and Desiderio will be dealt to NLEX for Oftana and Raul Soyud
The Bossing will then send Oftana and Soyud to TNT for Rosario and Gab Banal.
The papers for the three-team trade are already at the PBA office for approval.
Barely a week since moving to ROS – a team co-owned by the families of Raymond Yu and Terry Que – Guiao said one must have to be extraordinarily lucky to win a championship in the league because there are teams who can easily transform their s into championship-caliber squads what with their huge resources.
Historically, the E-Painters were the last independent team to win a championship in 2016.
