ABS-CBN is out with something new, exciting.
Titled “Love Bites,” it is a new digital anthology about different kinds of love that will be shown exclusively on YouTube.
Directed by Kevin Alambra and Dado C. Lumibao, it features Dimples Romana, Miko Raval, Karina Bautista, Vivoree Esclito, Kobie Brown, Andi Abaya, among many others.
Dimples, who will appear in “Letters for Leah” believes the stories under “Love Bites” will leave a lasting mark on viewers.
“It gets stuck on you and it just grows on you. Meron mga kilig at pagmamahal na ambilis bilis lang dumaan sa iyo pero it may have lasting effect. Ganun din ito,” she said.
Sky Quizon, Nico Antonio, Genesis Redido, Angela Trajano, Kristof Garcia, Khyza Villalino, and Concon Felix expressed their gratitude for being included in the boys love and girls love episodes of the anthology.
“Kami nina Kuya Nico, at Genesis, we are trying to normalize it. Yes, BL is a genre. Sa tulong RCD Narratives, we try to normalize it na it’s just love. It’s not based on gender. Kung ano ang nae-experience ng straight people, na-experience ng lahat,” said Sky.
Genesis, on the other hand, accepted the role in the episode as he is a proud brother to his transgender sister, Angela.
“Sobrang proud ako na gumaganap ako ng boys love dahil natutulungan yung kapatid ko na si Angela (Trajano). Siya talaga yung rason kung bakit ko tinatanggap ito. Ito yung bagay na na-ireregalo ko sa kanya para ma-normalize ito o mawala yung diskriminasyon,”he added.
The first episode, titled “Lost And Found” stars Vivoree and Anthony Jennings.
Other episodes: Sky, Nico, and Genesis’ “He Must Choose,” Angela and Kristof’s “Hearts of Pride,” Khyza and Concon’s “First Love, Last Love,” Karina and Gello Marquez’s “One Post Away,” Andi and Kobie’s Miss Astrologer,” and JC Alcantara and Shanaia Gomez’s “TOTGA.”
New episodes drop Fridays, 8 pm.
