Sylvia Sanchez values her fans.
In fact, she considers them family.
Just recently, the critically-acclaimed dramatic actress celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Sylvianians, her official fan club composed of over a thousand members.
“Gusto kong pasalamatan ang lahat ng mga Sylvianians sapagkat 10 taon na tayong magkakasama,” says Sylvia during the celebration. “Sa dami ng ating pimagsamahan, pamilya na tayo at taos puso kong panalangin na biyayaan pa tayo ng Panginoon ng maraming pang taon sa piling ng isa’t-isa. Utang na loob ko sa inyong lahat kung nasaan man ako ngayon at maraming salamat sa pagmamahal na ibinuhos ninyo sa akin at sa aking pamilya. Mahal na mahal ko kayo.”
Aside from the solid attendance of all the Sylvianians, present during the event were Sylvia’s business manager Anna Goma; ABS-CBN’s Ginny Monteagudo; Ellen Criste, Grace Bodegon-Casimsiman; actresses Anne Feo, Alma Concepcion, and Ynez Veneracion; and Sylvia’s management team.
Smokey Manaloto and Viveka Ravanes hosted the party while Katrina Velarde performed the theme songs of some of Sylvia’s hit teleseryes.
The Sylvianians steadfastly supported Sylvia’s second wave in both film and television.
It was established in 2012 when Sylvia played the role of Nanay Teresita in the ensemble cast of ABS-CBN’s romantic-drama series “Be Careful With Heart.”
Sylvia’s empathic performance in her supporting role on “Be Careful With My Heart” paved the way for her very first starring role as Gloria on ABS-CBN top-rating afternoon drama series “The Greatest Love” in 2016.
The bravura of Sylvia’s powerhouse performance as a mother battling Alzheimer’s gave her numerous Best Actress awards from respected organizations such as Gawad Tanglaw Awards, KBP Golden Dove Awards, and PMPC Star Awards For Television.
The mammoth success of “The Greatest Love” spawned a steady slew of ABS-CBN projects for Sylvia which includes starring roles on the crime-drama series “Hanggang Saan” (2017) and the family drama “Pamilya Ko” (2019).
Her standout performance on the primetime drama “Huwag Kang Mangamba” (2021) as the mentally challenge Barang earned her a Best Actress In A Supporting Role nomination at the 2021 Asian Academy Creative Awards where she was pitted against the best and most talented actresses from Australia, New Zealand, and several countries in the Asian region.
Sylvia also appeared on the online original series “Misis Piggy,” which is currently streaming on iWant TV, 2022 where she stars alongside Ria Atayde.
In film, Sylvia appeared in a starring role in Regal Films’ “Mama’s Girl” (2018) while performing in supporting roles in such blockbusters as “The Trial” (2014) and “Alone/Together” (2019).
Sylvia’s mainstream popularity and her impressive achievements as an actress in both film and television is also rewarded with endorsement deals with such brands as Beautéderm and Bench making her one of the most trusted artists in the Philippines today whose credibility is solidified with her moniker as Pambansang Nanay Ng Pilipinas with all the unforgettable mother roles that she has breathed life into.
