The world-famous Super American Circus is coming to the Philippines.
It will hold shows at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Newport World Resorts in Pasay City from Dec. 21 to January 8, 2023.
The Super American Circus is a modern one-ring circus showcasing acts meant to excite and delight audiences of all ages.
These include thrilling acts like the motorcycle team’s stunts in the Globe of Danger, the amazing Sky Wheel, the High Flying Motorcycle.
It also features aerialists, ballerinas, and jugglers.
The Super American Circus is produced by Global Entertainment Productions. Its president and CEO Cornell “Tuffy” Nicholas is also the show’s ringmaster.
Tuffy comes from a family with extensive circus history. His father, Count Nicholas, was the lead ringmaster of the Ringling Brothers circus.
Tuffy grew up among some of the world’s most famous performers and celebrities. Under the careful eye of his father, he became a great performer, mastering a variety of different acts and skills. He made his first appearance as an honorary ringmaster on a main-street float alongside his father at 3 years old.
For more than 35 years now, Tuffy has been a successful producer and promoter of circuses, concerts, festivals and, sporting events around the world. As president and CEO since 2000, he has produced over 5,000 performances including the Moscow State Circus, Modern American Circus, and International All-Star Circus.
In 2005 he produced Cirque Hawaii, a multimillion-dollar, state-of-the-art, permanent theatrical spectacular that showcased the award-winning talent of over 35 performers from around the world.
Bringing in the Super American Circus here is producer Johanan Soyang of SGE Productions.
He is doing so through the help of their group’s managing director Edwin Chiong.
Johanan told us, “We saw the group perform in Hawaii in recent years. We believe Filipinos deserve the same kind of superb entertainment.”
Edwin added, “Christmas is huge for Filipinos. It is a most joyful festivity we enjoy the longest. The Super American Circus is a huge boon for families eager for something new, exciting for Christmas.”
