ABS-CBN, in partnership with South Korea’s MLD Entertainment and Kamp Korea, is opening its doors to hopefuls eager to make it big in show business as part of an all-boy pop group.
They are doing so via “Dream Maker,” a reality talent search set to air starting Nov. 19 via the Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
Tapped to host the show are Kim Chiu and Ryan Bang, both of whom also products of a reality show.
Said Kim, “Exciting maging part ng show na ito because I could relate sa ating mga Dream Chasers.”
She added, “Like them, we also have a dream to be seen on TV, a dream to fulfill the needs of our family. Meron din kaming gusto maabot na pangarap. And, nakikita din namin yun sa kanila, yung pagpupursige.”
Ryan on his part related, “Gusto ko lang makatulong sa show. Natutuwa ako. Dahil sa ‘Pinoy Big Brother,’ natupad yung pangarap namin (ni) Kimmy. Talagang itong ‘Dream Maker,’ tama yung pangalan nung show kasi matutupad yung mga pangarap ng Pilipino na gusto maging global icon.”
“Dream Maker” will feature 62 young male hopefuls. They will undergo rigorous training and showcase performances, in the hope of being included in the Top 7 who will undergo further training in South Korea, where they will be officially launched.
Helping the Dream Chasers to achieve their goals are the Pinoy and Korean mentors, namely: Angeline Quinto, Bailey May, Darren Espanto, Thunder of MBLAQ, Bae Wan Hee (choreographer of both Momoland and Lapillus), Bae Yoon-jun, songwriters Seo Won-jin and Bullseye!, and Jea of Brown Eyed Girls.
