It turned out Allyn Bulanadi’s stint with NorthPort was just a short stop.
A day after being traded to the Batang Pier, the streaky shooter out of San Sebastian found himself on the move again, this time, landing into the laps of an already loaded San Miguel Beermen.
In exchange, SMB sent the rights to Paul Zamar and a 2025 second round pick to NorthPort, a deal approved by the league’s trade committee on Thursday, Jan. 5.
Bulanadi is set to join his second team in as many days after Converge swapped him for Jerrick Balanza in a separate deal just last Wednesday.
He is expected to fight for his minutes in the wing rotation in SMB which already has the likes of Marcio Lassiter, Jericho Cruz and Robbie Herndon.
On the other hand, NorthPort got the rights to Zamar whose contract already expired and became a restricted free agent at the end of 2022 but is still on a one-month grace period which would allow the Batang Pier to make an offer to retain his services.
