Jason Dy faces a new era in his music career with the release of the song “Ulit-ulit,” his first project as the newest member of ABS-CBN’s Star Music family.
The singer-songwriter who is celebrating his 8th year in the industry launched the single last March 1 or exactly eight years after he was named “The Voice Philippines” season 2 champion.
This time, the Kapamilya balladeer dubbed as the country’s Prince of Soul reinvents himself by exploring other genres beyond what he was used to starting with the R&B dance track “Ulit-ulit,” which is about one’s frustration over repeated arguments in a relationship.
“The song talks about that point in the relationship where the fights are getting repetitive. It’s just the same argument over and over and nothing gets resolved,” he shared. “It’s about whether the relationship is worth saving or it is heading towards the end.”
Jason is thrilled to finally be sharing the single that he penned a few years back. “I actually wrote the song years ago and I’m glad it’s finally getting released.”
“Ulit-ulit” will be part of his mini-album that is set to be released this year under Star Music.
