Singer-songwriter Jeremy G delivers a heart-fluttering confession in “BINI,” a new dance-pop single that conveys the difficulty of finding the right words to say to someone special that will be released this Friday (March 24).
“Coming from the break-up anthem ‘Sinayang Mo,’ I think that ‘BINI’ will give listeners a new feel and different side of me, since this song is basically about falling for a girl but being too shy to tell her face to face,” he said. “I feel like listeners would vibe to this song along with feeling like they’re falling in love while listening.”
Jeremy, who wrote the song with ABS-CBN Music creative director Jonathan Manalo and Star Pop label head Rox Santos, also shared that his new single was inspired by a personal experience.
“Before we started writing this song, we had to draw from an experience that was rather specific so it wouldn’t become too generalized. So to some extent, the song ‘BINI’ was based on a personal experience of mine,” he admitted.
With the release of “BINI,” Jeremy hopes that the listeners would feel a boost of confidence to express their true feelings to their loved ones.
He shared, “I feel like my advice would just be to follow your heart. It may sound cliche but you never know when’s the next time that you’ll feel that feeling again. Be genuine and show them that you have genuine intentions.”
Jeremy was first known in his stint on “The Voice Teens Philippines Season 1” where he became a grand finalist under Sharon Cuneta’s team. He released his first single “Sa’Yo” in 2019, which was hailed as the Best R&B recording at the 33rd Awit Awards. Jeremy also collaborated with Kyle Echarri for their song “Kahit Na Masungit,” which won 2nd Best Song at the Himig Handog 11th Edition.
Last year, Jeremy ventured into both music and acting projects. He released 13 singles including his debut EP “maybe forever,” wrote several compositions for series soundtracks and the song “My Time” for the “Idol Philippines” season 2 champion. He also starred as Stevie in the IWantTFC series “Lyric and Beat” where he composed the theme song with Jonathan Manalo.
