Former ONE World Champions Joshua “The Passion” Pacio and Eduard “Landslide” Folayang might not be part of the groundbreaking ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III card, but they’re making sure to be there.
The pair will be Circleside to watch ONE Flyweight World Champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson and Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes seal their trilogy in the now sold-out event at 1stBank Center in Denver, Colorado.
Pacio wanted to be a part of the card, but instead he’ll settle to see history unfold before his eyes, knowing that the event will be monumental for The Home of Martial Arts.
“It will be a privilege to be there and watch it live. I may not be slated on the card to compete, but I will still have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be part of history,” Pacio said.
“I’m looking forward to enjoying the festivities during fight week.”
It will be a stacked card from top to bottom with two more world title bouts on the card.
Rodtang Jitmuangnon defends his ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Championship against Edgar Tabares, while Mikey Musumeci puts his ONE Flyweight Submission Grappling World Championship on the line versus Osamah Almarwai.
Folayang, who main-evented the first-ever ONE Championship card in 2011, is happy with how far the promotion has come.
ONE is now a global sports juggernaut offering not only MMA fights, but also spotlightling other sports.
“As the remaining active pioneer on the roster, I’m so happy for ONE. This company has come a long way from just being a regional promotion. Now, the whole world sees ONE as a global combat sports juggernaut alongside other major organizations,” he said.
“This is undoubtedly an important milestone in ONE history. I believe there’s more to come after this,” Folayang said.
The fight card will also feature the long-awaited return of “Super” Sage Northcutt and the U.S. debuts of Roberto Soldic and Stamp Fairtex.
