Celebrity couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo came to support the Philippine women’s national football team in New Zealand ahead of its
second fixture in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup against the hometown bet Ferns on Tuesday, July 25, at the Wellington Regional Stadium.
The power couple flew out of the Philippines last July 12 and has been posting snaps of themselves with their children seemingly on a family vacation in New Zealand.
“The Filipinas has got some serious star power with @ryan_agoncillo and @officialjuday coming to the Wellington Regional Stadium to cheer on the team,” wrote Pilipinaspwnt on its official Instagram.
The world No. 46 Filipinas are due for a crucial game against the inspired Ferns team ranked 21 notches higher from them.
The Nationals failed to make their dream debut happen in the biggest football showpiece following a 2-0 loss to 20th-ranked Switzerland last Friday, July 21.
The Ferns, meanwhile, opened its own campaign with an imposing 1-0 victory over the top seed Norway in Group A.
The Alen Stajcic-coached Filipinas seek their maiden win at 1:30 p.m. (Manila time).
