The Baguio City Prosecutor’s office has dismissed the complaints against the owner and 24 employees and individual partners of Casa Infini Builders and Realty Co. Ltd., Casa Infini Properties and Development Corporation, Ray International Philippines Inc., 40 days after their arrest by the Regional Anti-Cyber Crime Unit there.
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) had charged the company’s CEO Jennylyn Delos Santos Floresca, her employees and partners, in violation of Sections 8, 26, and 28 of the Securities Regulation Code and violations of certain provisions of the Cybercrime Prevention Act.
In the resolution, the prosecutor’s office stressed that the complaint against the respondents was dismissed due to lack of evidence.
“The petition which initiated the investigation against Casa Infini by SEC was not even attached to the complaint for us to truly determine if there is indeed any evidence of fraud or deceit,” stated the Office of the Prosecutor.
It also deemed their arrest illegal.
Floresca expressed happiness regarding the decision during a recent press conference.
“We welcome the Resolution of the Office of the City Prosecutor of Baguio City which dismissed the complaint against our company, its management and employees,” she said.
“The dismissal is a testament to the fact that Casa Infini has always adhered to the highest standards of compliance with all relevant rules, laws, and regulations operate our business with utmost integrity, transparency and good faith,” she added.
As to the Cease and Desist order given by the SEC, she said, “We have already filed our request to lift the CDO where we were given a chance for the first time to explain Casa’s business and show that everything is above board, and that we trust that things will already be clarified by such explanation.”
With the case against them now dismissed, Floresca vowed to further maximize efforts “for the betterment of the community and to deliver our mission vision which is to build wealth for the Filipino people by giving them happy homes.”
Note that apart from real estate, Casa Infini is also involved in TV and film productions as with pageantry via its Be Unrivaled Productions and Sine Cordillera. One of their efforts, the short film “Dayas,” won the best actor plum for Igorot actor Jeyrick “Carrotman” Sigmaton at the International Film Festival Manhattan (IFFM) 2021 in New York.
