Perpetual’s Louie Ramirez, the reigning NCAA MVP, is leaving for Japan soon for a three-week training in Oita City.
This, after the 6-foot-3 Ramirez accepted the invitation by the Oita Miyoshi Wessie Adler Volleyball Team which is based in Oita City.
“Masaya po ako, kasi madadagdagan yung knowledge ko sa volleyball at nakaka proud po, kasi maraming malalakas na players dito sa atin sa Pilipinas bukod po sa akin, pero ako po yung na-invite para mag training, sobrang excited din po ako na makakapunta ako ng Japan,” said Ramirez.
The invitation was extended by Oita Miyoshi Wessie team owner Dr. Atsushi Moyoshi, who said they will shoulder Ramirez’s airfare, meals and transportation expenses.
The power-hitting Ramirez, who will be accompanied by assistant coach Macky Cariño, also received a message of encouragement from University of Perpetual Help Chairman Tony Tamayo, President Dr. Anthony Tamayo and Vice President for Sports Anton Tamayo.
