Richard Gutierrez reaffirmed his commitment to ABS-CBN, signing a new contract as a Kapamilya, Thursday, October 26.
It was quite the momentous occasion, with several ABS-CBN bigwigs including ABS-CBN chairman Mark Lopez, ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, ABS-CBN COO of broadcast Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN group CFO Rick Tan, ABS-CBN head of TV Production and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, attending.
Star Magic’s Love Capulong and Richard’s mom and manager Annabelle Rama were also present.
“At this point in time in my career, I believe I am exactly where I want to be,” Richard told us, going on to thank fans, co-actors, and ABS-CBN for their sustained love and support.
“I’m really happy with the support I’m getting here,” he added. “I really couldn’t ask for more and as such I’m quite grateful.”
Richard just completed the wildly successful action-packed series “The Iron Heart,” which is now also gaining popularity abroad, particularly in Indonesia.
Asked what he wants to work on next, Richard maintained, “I feel like I need to continue doing action-themed projects. My aim is to further elevate the genre in terms of action, in terms of storytelling, locations, because I believe our audiences deserve that.”
He likes it that ABS-CBN thinks the same way, noting how the company continues to innovate amid the changing entertainment landscape.
“Despite the obvious challenges, I think ABS-CBN is more than just surviving. It is thriving. Until today, we are still giving world-class shows to Filipinos worldwide. It is the reason why I am here, a proud Kapamilya.”
Richard joined ABS-CBN in 2017 and worked with Angel Locsin, Daniel Padilla, and Kathryn Bernardo, among others in the hit “La Luna Sangre.”
He was also part of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” and hit movies “Unbreakable” and “Fantastica.”
He is open to collaborating with other ABS-CBN stars, including Jodi Sta. Maria, Kim Chiu, Belle Mariano, and Donny Pangilinan.
