Janice de Belen, Gelli de Belen, Carmina Villarroel, and Candy Pangilinan are joining forces for a different kind of adventure.
This, via “Roadtrip,” Viva Films’ second cinematic offering for the year.
“Roadtrip” follows the four real-life friends as they embark on a journey of love, friendship, self-discovery.
Directed by Andoy Ranay, “Roadtrip” has Janice playing the role of Gigi, a writer. She is naturally kind, a people pleaser, quiet, and always helpful to others, but Gigi is tired of all her responsibilities and longs for a break.
Gelli is Maricar, an events planner. She avoids explaining herself to others.
Carmina is Chiqui, an actress married to a politician. Though it may seem that she can have everything she wants, her decisions are often influenced by her parents.
Candy portrays Sophia, a woman who has a lot on her plate. Apart from being a businesswoman, she also dabbles in vlogging while managing a construction firm. She may appear bossy and arrogant, but she is always willing to lend a hand.
Also joining the cast are Christian Vasquez, JC Tiuseco, John Lapus, Ethan David, Abby Bautista, Ashtine Olviga, Yumi Garcia, Heart Ryan, and Jastine Lim.
How will they keep up with the changes that have happened in each of their lives? And how will these strong but struggling women handle grief from the loss of a friend?
“Roadtrip” hits cinemas January 17.
