Fresh from winning Best Supporting Actor at the Manila International Film Festival for his performance in top-grossing film “Rewind,” Pepe Herrera continues to make waves in local entertainment taking on a string of notable roles.
Recently, he showcased his comedic prowess in the film “Ma’am Chief,” collaborating with Melai Cantiveros under Pulp.
In another cinematic venture, Herrera joined forces with industry powerhouses Sharon Cuneta and Alden Richards in “A Family of Two.”
He also played romantic lead in the Philippine adaptation of the South Korean film “My Sassy Girl.”
It doesn’t end there.
Pepe has a slate of thrilling projects on the horizon.
Leading the pack is “I Am Not Big Bird,” alongside Enrique Gil.
Then there’s the local adaptation of the beloved Korean series “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim.”
In April, audiences can anticipate seeing Pepe in “Parokya ni Edgar: The Musical” at Newport World Resorts.
Asked relating his prime consideration in taking on roles, Pepe said that he picks those that offers the most “challenge.”
“May times na yung tamang paghugot, tamang timpla, dun yung may challenge. Thankfully, lahat naman ng nakaka-trabaho ko collaborative, so nagagawan naman ng paraan,” Pepe reflected.
As to his main aim as actor, Pepe replied: “To be sincere and truthful.”
