Can two people find true and lasting love in the course of a night?
This is the question presented to viewers in “Isang Gabi,” a film by McArthur Alejandre as written by Ricky Lee.
The film stars Coleen Garcia as Karla, and Diego Loyzaga as Dindo, lost souls meeting amid dire circumstance.
Karla rose from rags to riches. She married into affluence, but it didn’t bring her happiness.
Following the death of her husband, Karla is hoping to start anew.
Dindo is a Literature professor who is also a fugitive.
On the night he meets Karla, he’s out enjoying freedom one last time. He tells Karla that come morning, he’s turning himself in to the police.
Karla doesn’t want him to. She doesn’t believe she is a bad guy.
Will she still feel the same once she learns about his crime?
“Isang Gabi” also stars Alex Medina as Andrew, Karla’s rich husband; Yayo Aguila as Mrs. Garcia, Andrew’s loving mother; Soliman Cruz as Colonel Garcia, Andrew’s father; and Angelica Hart as Bella, Dindo’s high school girlfriend.
“Isang Gabi,” produced by Viva Films and Studio Viva, opens May 15 in cinemas nationwide.
