Gilas center Kai Sotto is reportedly looking for ways on how to further improve his game as he readies himself for a chance to fulfill his NBA dream.
Back at his Las Piñas abode after impressive showing in the Japan B. League, Sotto has been seen working out at the popular fitness gym.
There were reports that he intends to join an NBA camp before rejoining the national team for the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament next month.
Judging his performance with Yokohama B. Corsairs, Sotto looks ready for a tough grind.
His contract with the Japanese team ended at the end of their campaign which turned to be fruitful.
The Gilas standout transferred to Yokohama for the 2023-24 season on a loan from Hiroshima Dragonflies.
There, the 22-year-old import managed to prove himself, even posting a career-high 28 points last March to make the most of his minutes matter.
The Filipino import averaged 12.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game to help Yokahama in its campaign.
Yokohama, however, finished 19th in the overall standings with a 24-36 card, with Thirdy Ravena’s San-En NeoPhoenix falling short in the quarterfinal after finishing as the third seed in the eliminations. (NIKOLE JAVIER)
