Stamp Fairtex has stepped forward with a message of comfort and support for Denice “The Menace” Zamboanga.
The heartwarming gesture comes in the wake of Zamboanga’s sudden withdrawal from her ONE Interim Atomweight World Title tiff against Alyona Rassohyna in the co-headliner of ONE Fight Night 25: Nicolas Eersel II, set for Oct. 5 at the fabled Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
A hamstring injury compelled the Filipina rising star to sit on the sidelines, requiring one to two months of therapy before she could resume training.
Stamp Fairtex, who recently learned of Zamboanga’s unfortunate situation, was deeply affected by the news.
“I’m sorry to hear about Denice’s injury. I was really excited about Denice’s fight with Alyona. It was a highly anticipated match,” she said.
The two warriors, who share a strong bond both personally and professionally, had trained under the same roof at the Fairtex Training Center in Pattaya, Thailand.
Their time together forged a genuine friendship, and Stamp’s reaction to Zamboanga’s injury reflects the depth of their connection.
Despite the competitive nature of their sport, both have always maintained a supportive relationship.
In fact, they were supposed to go head-to-head inside the Circle when “The Menace” earned a shot at Stamp’s divisional crown at ONE 167 last June.
However, a torn meniscus forced Stamp to pull out of the bout just two weeks before the event.
The Thai sensation empathizes with the challenges Zamboanga is facing and hopes for her swift recovery.
“I hope she recovers quickly and can get back to training soon,” Stamp stated. “Wishing you a speedy recovery, my friend!”
